📖 Program Overview

The Nursing Cardiovascular Specialty Program (NCSP) is the core curriculum for cardiovascular nurses at AHC. This program was designed in accordance with the Core Curriculum for Cardiovascular Nurses and Allied Professionals developed by the Association of Cardiovascular Nursing and Allied Professions (ACNAP) and the European Society of Cardiology (ESC).

🎯 Program Aim

To engage cardiovascular nurses in the core elements of the cardiovascular specialty, including the required Knowledge (K), Skills (S), and Attitudes (A).

Ischemic heart disease
Stroke and peripheral vascular disease
Adult congenital heart disease
Valvular heart disorders
Infective and inflammatory cardiac conditions
Acute and chronic heart failure
Cardiogenic shock

The program emphasizes physical well-being and patient-centered care to improve the quality of care and treatment options for cardiac patients.

6 months to 1 year

👩‍⚕️ Eligibility

This specialty program is available to novice cardiovascular nursing staff.

📜 Certification & CPD

After completing the five elements of this program, certification will be granted with 246 CPD hours, covering:

Didactic courses
Clinical simulation activities
Online self-study
Clinical practice hours

Complete Orientation Program
Complete Self-Paced Courses
Achieve 90% of Scope of Practice
Obtain Level 3/5 in Core Competency
Attend 2 AMPR attempts
